FORMAT:
54-hole stroke play championship. Cut to the low 33 scores and ties for Round 3 on Wednesday.
REGISTRATION:
All participants should check in with the SCGA upon arriving Monday morning. A table will be located near the front entrance of the clubhouse.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org/senioram one week in advance of the tournament. On Monday & Tuesday, starting times will range from 8:30 a.m. to approximately 10:30 a.m. Starting times and pairings for Round 3 will be based on 36-hole scores and will be available approximately one hour after the conclusion of Round 2. On Wednesday, Round 3 times will range from 8 a.m. to approximately 10 a.m.
Players are encouraged to arrive at their assigned tee well in advance of their starting time, as the SCGA starter will have information to discuss and distribute to each player in the group. Furthermore, players arriving late will be penalized under Rule 5.3a of the Rules of Golf. For example, the 8:00 a.m. starting time is defined as 8:00:00, and players arriving after that time are considered late. Lead groups should plan to be at their assigned tee 10 minutes in advance of their starting time. Subsequent groups are encouraged to arrive in time to watch the group in front of them tee off.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Players may arrange a practice round at their own expense. Please contact the golf shop at (949) 496-2023
to schedule a practice round. Green fee: $50 (M-Th); $60 (F-Su). Cart fee: $20 per player. Practice rounds are based on a space available basis.
TEES AND YARDAGE:
Play will be from the SCGA tee markers and yardage information is available on the championship portal.
Course Rating: 72.9/ Slope: 131 / approximately 6,725 yards.
DRIVING RANGE:
The Driving Range will be open by 7 a.m. on the day of the championship. Range balls will be provided compliments of the SCGA and El Niguel. The driving range is located near the 10th hole.
FOOD SERVICE AND PURCHASES:
The SCGA will host lunch for all players on Monday and Tuesday near the Terrace near the scoring area towards the upper portion of the clubhouse.
Breakfast will be available for purchase inside the snack bar each day of the championship.
The Snack Bar (near Hole 9 Putting Green) will be open for other food and beverage purchases. Cash, major credit cards (except AMEX), reciprocal charge will be accepted for all purchases.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and the R&A govern play.

AUTOMOTIVE TRANSPORTATION / PULL CARTS & PUSH CARTS:
Carts are optional at the player’s expense ($20 per player). There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk. Pull carts and push carts are allowed.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
Players may provide their own caddie (See section on Automotive Transportation). Caddies must adhere to the dress code listed in section below. Spectators are permitted but are not allowed in carts. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the club.
DRESS CODE & CLUB POLICIES:
Players and caddies must be properly attired in golf shirts, slacks, Bermuda-length dress or golf shorts and soft spike shoes. Jeans (any color or any kind), T-shirts and tank tops will not be permitted. Cell phones may only be used in your automobile or in the locker room.
CANCELLATIONS:
To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of an SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Rules and Competitions Department at (818) 980-3630, or by clicking here. If a player needs to withdraw on the morning of the event, notify the SCGA staff person through the golf shop staff at the host venue. Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions. Requests for refunds prior to the entry closing date will be honored less a $20 administrative fee. Requests received after the entry closing date and 48 hours prior to the event will be honored less 50% of the entry fee. No refunds will be honored within 48 hours of the event.
